1998 Shortlisted Allied Domeq/Bush Award. Shortlisted Verity Bargate award for Late Night at the Punch and Judy.
1999 Awarded ACE bursary to write City of Dreadful Delights.
2000 Awarded place on Performing Arts Lab workshop, writing Eponymous Grout, a play for children. Rehearsed reading of Sky Suspended at Chelsea Arts Theatre.
2001 Rehearsed reading The Scent of Lilac at White Bear as part of London Live Readings. Shortlisted BBC Women’s Comedy Writing Course for Hanging On, a radio play.
2002 Script reading for various theatres and agencies. Redrafted The Scent of Lilac for reading at Bloomsbury Theatre. Commended Wharehouse Theatre International Playwriting Competition for The Scent of Lilac and extract read as part of the festival.
2003 Rehearsed reading Breeding Lilacs at RADA Extract Breeding Lilacs at Soho Theatre, for Playwrights showcase. Sikander, 45 minute play under consideration Radio 4
2004 Won Playground Performing Arts Studio annual playwrights award, and assistance in developing Late Night at the Punch and Judy (now retitled That’s the Way to Do it!). Many thanks to all involved.
