Leonora helping local artist Brian Barnes to paint the Stockwell mural. Six hundred poppies were painted, one for each of the local men who died in the 1914-18 war and are named on the clock tower memorial.
If you are passing in the next few weeks, watch out for Brian and other helpers, who will be adding the final touches. It's much easier to cross to the Memorial Garden, now that the new crossings and traffic lights are in place.
