Back to More paper! From booklet sent to customers: " Location, locationWhat to look out for when choosing an area in which to live When looking to rent or buy, many people think only about the actual property itself, but a happy home is about more than bricks and mortar. Those with school-age children will be aware of the importance of choosing an area with good schools nearby but there are plenty of other elements to consider before you take the plunge. Vicinity vitals If you currently live some distance away from the area you are planning to move to, it's worth taking time off and booking into a nearby hotel or guesthouse for a few days. This not only allows you the opportunity to view as many properties as possible but also gives you the chance to explore the area thoroughly. It is worthwhile using all available ways of finding a property rather than just contacting local estate or lettings agents. Check advertisements in local papers; tour the streets looking for To Let or For Sale signs and also check out the internet. If you don't know any estate agents in the area and don't know who to ask, it's wise to ensure that those you contact are reputable. Look at the website of the National Assocition of Estate Agents (NAEA) on xxxxxxxxxxxx where you'll be able to source a list of estate agents who are members of the NAEA in the area you wish to move to. ..."
