Portland Arms, Portland Grove, London SW8
This pub is not just dead, it has disappeared!
Would you be willing to make a micropayment to read our page on Dead pubs?
A micropayment is a small fee which is charged by an organisation for use of its web pages.
A micropayment can be a charge of around one tenth of a penny per minute.
The micropayment is added to the communication charges (for example, the phone bill) of the user and credited to the communication charge of the site owner.
If you have views on micropayments, please let us know by using our Contact page.
If you are interested in pubs which have closed down in the Local Online Oval and Stockwell area, check Dead pubs.
Please note - arrangements for micropayments do not yet exist. At present when you pay to use the internet the money goes to the company which owns the phone line, or other form of connectivity, and to your Internet Service Provider (ISP).
Generally, none of the money goes to the organisations providing the web-pages which you use.
Let us know if you would support the campaign for micropayments.
