On Saturday 10 September 2005 the memorial tribute to Jean Charles de Menezes at Stockwell Memorial Gardens was damaged. The suspect is a white male aged around 25 who used a roller to smear blue paint over the picture.
This picture shows a close-up of the damage.
The next day the blue paint was scrubbed off.
