LoMAG is an informal group with about 30 members. It started in the autumn of 1997 and is currently considering the adoption of a constitution and becoming a club. It began with a nucleus of NAS trained divers from the North London, Crouch End BSAC club, now has members from as far away as Chelmsford and Epsom and welcomes all comers with an interest in maritime archaeology, diver and non-diver alike!

We encourage the participation of students and several active members of the group are currently studying archaeology at the University of London. So far most of our activities have been in conjunction with Hants and Wight Trust for Maritime Archaeology but we are keen to participate in any projects needing assistance.

If you would like more information about LoMAG or would like some volunteers for a project please contact LoMAG

The aims and objectives of the club are -

To foster interst and awareness of maritime and nautical archaeology and heritage underwater (in accordance with ICOMOS, the International Charter on the Protection and Management of Underwater Cultural Heritage)
