1881 ..... U.K ..... the FIRST women granted the right to vote in Parliamentary elections were widows and spinsters of the Isle of Man who held real estate to an annual value of £4.00. They went to the polls for the FIRST time in a General Election to the House of Keys on this day. The property qualification was removed in 1892
