" Zomernaand (summer month) the fourth month in the Roman calendar and was dedicated to Junioribus   i e the junior or inferior branch of the original legislature of Rome. The Romans also considered this to be the best month in the year to marry, especially if there was a full moon on the chosen day. June 21st is the Summer solstice when daylight hours are at their maximum and is the time of year when gardens come into their midsummer glory...... Mist in May and heat in June, bring all things into tune .....
