She had made her first transatlantic flight as a passenger but this time she was in control. Four years later she became the FIRST woman to achieve a solo transatlantic flight. She mysteriously vanished on a round-the-world flight in 1937
1950 ..... U.S.A ..... the FIRST kidney transplant was carried out by Chicago surgeon, R.H.Lawler. The patient was a 44 year old woman with a kidney disorder which had also claimed the lives of other members of her family
