1921 ..... U.S.A ..... the world’s FIRST commercial bathing beauty contest was held in New Jersey. Winner of the coveted Miss America title was 15 year old Margaret Gorman Cahill who was only 5’ 1” and had a 30” bust measurement. She remains the youngest, slightest and shortest contestant ever to have won the title. She died in October 1995
