This is a tribute site to the Daventry band              TRIP TO THE SUN                 1965-1969 Mick, Bill, Reg and John are  alive and well, and with the exception of John ( currently living in Derbyshire ) are to be found enjoying domestic bliss in Daventry.

In 1996 the idea was hatched to stage a re-union concert, and in November of that year at the BRITTANIA HOTEL,  TRIP TO THE SUN played again.  It was supposed to be a one off event, but the fact that the tickets were sold out within 48 hours ( much to the band's surprise, but not their fans) pointed to at least one more. In May of the following year another sell out concert took place this time at the RESORT HOTEL, and in May the next year at the RESORT a third sell out. Will there be a fourth ?? Another concert or not, the music goes on.  One of the by-products of concert number two was the forming of a songwriting partnership between Mick & John, a partnership which has to date produced four albums and a fifth currently nearing completion. In addition to the above mini history that fifth album that was nearing completion, well, make that the sixth album nearing completion.  All being well it should be all wrapped up by February or March 2003.
