Fellow is a great Amiga emulator for DOS, it has a nice GUI which is easy to use and the best
part is that you can return to it during emulation and change your setup options (great for screen
resolutions). Like WinUAE its not hard to setup, just takes a while to get to know the settings.
1. Files Required
You need all the following files for this Quickstart.
- Latest Fellow release
- Amiga Kickstart v1.3
- Diskimage(s) in ADF format
2. Setting up Files
Following my steps, all files will go into C:\Fellow (this can be changed later on).
- Unzip (using Winzip or similar un-compression program) Fellow into C:\Fellow.
- Unzip Kick13.zip to C:\Fellow
- Unzip Diskimage to C:\Fellow - should end up in a 880k ADF file.
3. Configuring Fellow
As with most Amiga emulators, setting it up as a Basic Amiga 500 is best for
games, this is a list of my normal setup for Fellow (considering speed issues).
Run Fellow.exe executable. The DOS Based GUI should appear. Configure to the following settings:
- Disk-images / Disk-image in DF0: Place your 1st Disk in here
- Disk-images / Drive 0 status: Enabled
- Disk-images / Disk-DMA speed: Fast
- Filesystems: None
- Screen / Resolution: 320x240 hi-color
- Screen / Y Scaling: No scaling

- Various / Joystick Port 1: Mouse

Now return to the first menu and press START to run the emulator.
