Setting up WinUAE is not that difficult, alot of people email me asking "how" and "what", there are
alot of options but you don't need to touch most of them, follow this guide and you should have an
emulated Amiga 500 up and running very soon.
1. Files Required
You need all the following files for this Quickstart.
- Latest WinUAE release
- Latest DirectX release
- Amiga Kickstart v1.3
- Diskimage(s) in ADF format
2. Setting up Files
Following my steps, all files will go into C:\Winuae (this can be changed later on).
- Install WinUAE to C:\Winuae (run self installing executable).
- Unzip (using Winzip or similar un-compression program) Kick13.zip to C:\Winuae
- Unzip Diskimage to C:\Winuae - should end up in a 880k ADF file.
- Make sure latest version of DirectX is install and functioning correctly.
