Ford, the world's number
two automaker, has teamed up with the computer world to create a
simulation for all Ford fanatics. Ford racing puts you behind the wheel of
a vast array of Ford vehicles, from the Ford Focus to the Ford F-150 to
the concept GT-90, Ford's answer to the super car crowd. Race around
several fictional - yet very well created - racecourses as you work your
way up to the faster vehicles.

The game is fairly good
but not brilliant for instances the graphics are ok but the handling of
the cars need improving some what as there is mega over steer on corners
and the steering also is too sensitive with no options to increase or
decrease the sensitivity of the steering.

When I first played this
game it was very slow at running then I found an option to turn of the
camera in the corner and then it was fine.
The competition is very
tough indeed in every race you’ll find yourself leading a race when bang
you get hit from behind by another Ford and spinning off you go, and there
aren’t enough laps to catch up so you lose fairly regular on this game.

Another thing I would have
liked more would have been a bit more in the way of instructions, they are
just a bit scarce for those who aren't familiar with racing games. It also
takes a 3-D accelerator card, which can be a problem for a lot of folks
that have older systems.

I
tried this game on a PII 233, 32mb ATI, 96Mb RAM and a AMD K6 500, Voodoo
3 3000 and 128Mb RAM and it wasn’t particularly quick The specification
on the box could do with being raised a bit to suit this game. Also why
does a 1.3 litre Ka sound Like a 4.0 Litre Explorer, the sounds are all the
same, engine wise.

Overall:- This game is good but comes no were near the likes of
NFS, Viper Racing, etc. But its still a racing game, and for all you
racers out there its another challenge, and it is a challenge at that.

Rivals:-
Need 4 Speed series, Test Drive series, Viper Racing, Grand Touring,
Sports Car GT, TOCA Touring Car Championship series.
