One of our colleagues recently contacted Channel 5 (UK) to inquire why the documentary on David Icke titled David Icke: Was he right?, said to be one of the most balanced programmes about his work was pulled at the last minute. Why did Channel 5 change their schedule and remove the Icke programme? Who put pressure on them to do this and why? Could it be that someone wants to deny the public access to the information he imparts? Below, you will find a copy of the actual transcript emailed from Channel 5. Please read it and decide for yourselves. Oh, and if you would like to contact the TV station yourself, the phone, fax and email details are included. LATEST - this programme is now going out at 11pm on Boxing Day (26th December) - be sure to watch it!

Date: 16th November 2006

Dear madam,

Thank you for your recent enquiry regarding David Icke: Was He Right? We apologise for the delay in responding.

Unfortunately, a late scheduling change was made and this programme was removed from our schedule for 14th November.

Due to an industry wide scheduling embargo, we are unable to provide scheduling information more than two weeks in advance. The scheduling information released from our Press Department to the listings magazines takes place in advance of this two week embargo, to enable the listings magazines to go to print on time.  The information carried by these magazines is therefore subject to change. Fives Customer Services receive up to the minute listings information for public knowledge but can only confirm dates and times within the two week guideline.

We are planning to transmitDavid Icke: Was He Right? later in 2006 but no broadcast dates are available at the moment. We recommend keeping an eye on the television listings magazines or contacting us again at a later date when more information may be available.

If there is anything further we can help you with, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Thank you for your interest in Five.

Yours sincerely

David
