White Feather: You may say that this does not concern you, that you have enough to contend with without having to think whether this is real or that is illusion. But try to understand that at some point there has to be a realisation that the portal of the five senses upon which you rely is only a very small part of the overall picture. When you begin to realise this, then you will also recognise that many other things around you may also appear as an illusion. Knowing this, begins to set you free from those things which would hold you back and imprison you, temporarily. You begin to understand firstly that you are not beholdant unto matter but have a degree of control over it and secondly that you are an eternal, infinite soul who has a latent divinity that transcends all time and space. Remember that the body which you now have, which has a gender, which has certain physical characteristics and possesses a personality which is the result to a certain extent of your genetic inheritance, is only a temporary vehicle. You the individual existed before you came into that body and will exist long after that body is no more. Yes, the personality will persist after death as long as it is necessary for it to do so but the individualised, multi-faceted diamond of the soul exists above and beyond all personality.
