You choose the design or theme which is then cut from 1mm thick wood veneers and applied to the surface of the guitar. Fronts, backs, sides and headstocks can be decorated as well as fretboards for a more complete look. The veneers can be in natural colours, or dyed veneers can be used for a more dramatic effect.This decorative technique can be used on all styles of instrument and is totally durable, being sealed with either cellulose lacquer or an oiled finish. Complete guitars can be produced with prices starting at £950/$1,425, replacement bodies can be produced from £350/$525 and bolt-on necks from £300/$450.
