Tomnaverie means "the hill of worship" and there must have been some divine influence at work for this circle to survive at all. The site has been quarried to cliff faces within a few feet of the circle on two adjacent sides, the corner of which contains the recumbent. The circle has also been extensively savaged, with only four circle stones standing.......................
