Rum-based cocktails

Daiquiri

Ingredients:
1 1/2 oz White Rum
Juice of 1/2 Lime
1 tsp. Powdered Sugar



Instructions:
Shake with ice and strain into a cocktail glass.

Devil's Tail

Ingredients:
1/2 oz Barcadi 151 Proof Rum
1 oz Vodka
1/2 oz Lime Juice
1/4 oz Grenadine
Apricot Brandy

Instructions:
Shake with ice and strain into a champagne flute and float apricot brandy on top. Garnish with a lime peel.

MacLaren F1

Ingredients:
1 oz Malibu Rum
1 oz Pernod
1 oz Dubonnet Rouge


Instructions:
Although sounding (and looking) vile, it does taste very nice (the Pernod doesn't completely dominate the taste), and goes down far too easily. Don't have too many or you'll crash!

Mai Tai

Ingredients:
1 oz White Rum
1/2 oz Orgeat Syrup
1/2 oz Triple Sec
1 1/2 oz Sweet and Sour Mix

Instructions:
Shake all ingredients with ice and strain into a collins glass over several ice cubes. Garnish with a cherry and serve.

Pina Colada

Ingredients:
3 oz White Rum
3 tbsp. Coconut Milk
3 tbsp. Pineapple (crushed)






Instructions:
Put all ingredients into an electric blender with 2 cups of crushed ice. Blend at a high speed for a short length of time. Strain into a collins glass and serve with a straw.

Planter's Punch

Ingredients:
3 bottles of White Rum
9 1/3 cups of Soda Water
5 oz Grenadine
Juice of 10 Limes (or Lemons)
4 dashes of Angostura Bitters
Cherries
Orange
Pineapple

Instructions:
In a bowl mix the rum, the grenadine and the lime juice. Add the bitters and chill for 2 to 3 hours. Before serving dilute with soda water and add some ice. Garnish with the fruit.
