Guildford has three theatrical venues, as well as its own orchestra,
the Guildford Philharmonic..
The Yvonne Arnaud Theatre....
stands on an island site on the River Wey. It was built by public
subscription in 1965. A wide variety of productions can be seen
including opera, and all- star productions before they reach the
West End. |

The Electric Theatre...
so called because it is housed in the old Electricity Works, next
to the river. It provides a venue for smaller scale performances
as well as accommodating workshops, seminars, small conferences
and private functions.

|
Guildford Civic Hall...
was originally built in 1962 for the Guildford Philharmonic Orchestra.
Now there are shows and concerts to suit everyone...classical,
choral, popular vocalists, touring bands, comedy, variety and
children's shows.
There are also facilities at The Civic for dinner dances, banquets,
private or corporate functions, as well as craft fairs, fashion
shows etc.
