Ruins of St. Catherine's Chapel
High on the St. Catherine's Hill overlooking the River Wey is the ruins of the 14th century St. Catherine's Chapel.
The view from St. Catherine's Hill, looking over the River Wey and the North Downs. The hill is mainly sandstone and at one time a railway tunnel underneath the hill collapsed. The hill was once known as Dragon Hill, and remains of bronze and iron age settlements have been discovered here.
