or Abbot's Hospital was an almshouse founded in 1619 by George Abbott after becoming Archbishop of Canterbury. It still houses some of Guildford's elderly citizens.

The huge oak doorway faces the High Street. The courtyard can be glimpsed through the open door, which is only open to the public at certain times.
