Headley is one of those places you could easily drive past without noticing. It doesn't have a High Street to speak of, just a small cluster of buildings in Church Lane......... a pub, church, post office/general store and an old forge, with houses scattered here and there. In fact so little was it noticed that they nearly built the M25 right through it. However, Headley has been here at least since the time of the Domesday book, it's present name meaning 'a clearing in the heather.' It is surrounded by heath, farmland, woodland, nature reserves and downs and is a delightful walking area.
Nearest Town: 3 miles south east of Leatherhead off the B2033
Nearby places of interest include: Box Hill, Chapel Farm, Chessington World of Adventures, Fire & Iron Gallery, Headley Heath, Norbury Park, Nower Wood Nature Reserve, Polesden Lacy
