There has long been a church here, though the present one dates
from the 19th century, being rebuilt at a cost of £4,227.18s 1d,
according to the church leaflet. It was built from flint gathered
from surrounding fields and heathland.
Lychgate
A flint grotto, made from the rubble of the old church building,
can be seen through the tiled
wooden lychgate . It marks the burial vault of a local family
Sundial
the sundial has an inscription on it which translates as 'I am nothing without light from above'.
