1996 - 2001 Cap Gemini Ernst & Young until June 1st 2001.
1994 - 1996 CMS-Cambridge. A subsidiary of British Steel.On 23rd February 1996, Cap Gemini, a.k.a.. Hoskyns, bought C.M.S. my previous employer.
Analyst-Programmer. Cambridge City Council awarded the contract of I.T. management to CMS - Cambridge.
1987 - 1994 CAMBRIDGE CITY COUNCIL.
Analyst-programmer for a variety of information systems on a variety of platforms - BULL AIX, ICL UNIX, ICL VME and ICL DRX. I have developed batch and interactive systems using COBOL, PASCAL, INFORMIX-SQL and CASE tools such as SELECT. I have also been engaged in large data conversion projects transferring data to PROGRESS, Paradox 5.0, Oracle and Informix databases.
I have also acted as UNIX systems administrator for ICL DRS400E and BULL AIX DPX20/470.
