Philosophy

My course notes

Course Notes
I've often wondered about the subject matter of 'Philosophy'. I would never claim to know anything about it.

So I decided to study what at least one establishment covered as Philosophy, the AEB.

What I found was that there are questions as to whether we, as individuals, let alone as a society, can ever acquire knowledge. It can devolve to a set of beliefs, including Scientific Method which we call 'laws'.
Can God exist and what is faith?
Can we ever be free, or are we deluding ourselves? Are we so constrained by our social needs and personal limitations that we only think that we can be free.
What is our consciousness? Are we deluding ourselves? Is it just a mass of biochemical and genetic impulses?
These are the same questions, if put a little differently, that the ancient Greeks posed thousands of years ago. Are we any more enlightened?

I am following a course set by the NEC using the AEB syllabus.
