Based on Bible teaching, the church has a membership. This is open to professing Christians who wish to join the church, who accept the doctrinal basis of the Church and have preferably been baptised by immersion.
The Elders are responsible for the spiritual oversight of the church but, in accordance with Bible teaching, certain matters have to be agreed by the membership. Once a quarter, the church has a business meeting, open only to active members, to consider these matters which include (as appropriate):
Membership - joining and leaving.
Appointment of the Pastor.
Election of Deacons, Church Treasurer and Secretary.
Recognition of new Elders.
Major financial expenditure / matters.
New endeavours by the church.
Important events / meetings.
The meetings always have a time of worship and are formally minuted.
