Monotypes. Several dozen of King's monotypes survive (one in the Arts Council Collection). These were created by spreading ink onto glass with a roller, and then working the design into it. A single paper print could be made from this, hence the name.

Gouache and Paintings. The imagery and coloration in King's paintings (mainly on paper) are all highly plastic, and echo many themes found in his sculpture.

Drawings and Sketches. King was prolific in sketching and drawing, but sadly few survive. Some were sold, but many were destroyed, some in a fire that burned down his studio, or discarded by the artist for lack of space.
