1800 Oct 12 Witness to a marriage on at Topsham 1822. John s of Edward C. admitted Topsham School aged 6. EDC reputed to have had his legs shot off at Trafalgar. In R.N. & said to have served through all Nelson's battles. Died at home. The Times of Newfoundland obituary says "EDC brother of Frederick Hamilton C. of Newfoundland.
