Notes for James Carrington
JC's baptism mis-transcribed as "John" by Dev & Corn Rec. Soc. Exeter Cathedral original PRs clearly say "James."

JC was the eldest & "disinherited" son but he possibly attempted a reconciliation at his father's deathbed

JC reputed by relation ( George McKerrall COX (grandson of James's sister Eleanor CARRINGTON) to have been a Colonel in the Rifle Brigade. he squandered all his own and much of his family's money. Said to have kept company with George 4th when George was Prince of Wales.

JC & EC's first daughter was baptised on their wedding day, but at another church.

1794 JC was a Lt. in the Exeter Militia

15 Aug 1788-89 to Jun 1789 JC was at at Blundells School Tiverton aged 15 son of James C
