leases amountin to almost 500 square miles of southern Ireland
on the death of his father, Also received St. Leger lands?
Sailed with Ralegh on his penltimate voyage to the Caribbean in
search of Eldorado. John was drowned when one of Raleghs ships
foundered.His holdings passed to his older brother Sir Barnard
who went to Ireland with Arthur Chichester, a younger son of the
Chichesters of Hall.
