My Mopar

Here is a picture of My Mopar.... a 1970 roadrunner

The car was originally fitted with a 383 HiPo from the factory but, and I don't know why, a standard 383 was in the car when I bought it.... The engine was in pretty poor shape as well ! So a few years ago I found myself a 440 HiPo and replaced the engine. As you may know both engines are Big Blocks and therefore share the same mounting points and ancillaries, the internals are a little different because of a higher deck. It was therefore a fairly simple operation....

For those of you who don't know Mopar comes from the words MOtor PARts. This was Chryslers Parts division which, unlike most of today's manufacturers, supplied parts to improve your cars performance, a range of items were available from Suspension to Engine parts. The company also supplied all you needed to build a car for the race track.
