U15 Div. 1 trial rearrangement of
cancelled matches
Unfortunately, due to bad weather all the matches
scheduled for the first weekend of the season in the Under 15 League
Division 1 were cancelled.
Following requests from several of the team managers
asking if they could rearrange their cancelled matches, it has been agreed
to trial the rearrangement of cancelled matches in this division this
season.
For the Under 15 League Division 1 the following ruling
will now apply for this season - Matches abandoned by bad weather or
unfit playing conditions may be rescheduled. When rescheduling a match
abandoned by bad weather or unfit playing conditions, both teams must agree
on an acceptable date that must be no more than one week after the last
scheduled Sunday morning of the league season. Any matches abandoned by bad
weather or unfit playing conditions that are not played by one week after
the last scheduled Sunday morning of the league season will be cancelled
matches and 8 points will be awarded to each side.
Please note that this rule amendment does not apply in
any other league or division

Rule changes approved at the AGM
A number of rule changes, to be applied from the start
of the 2004 season, were approved at the League's Annual General Meeting.
They are as follows (additions in red type)
-
For all League and Cup
Competitions
A player may play in a competition for only one member
club in a season, unless, prior to 31st May, he is
transferred to any other club in the League with the approval of both his
original club and the League's Management Committee. Only one transfer per
individual player is permissible per season.
For Under 16, Under 15 and
Under 13 League Competitions
Clubs entering more than one team in the competition
must register their players for either their 'A' team or their 'B' team.
Players registered for an 'A' team may not play in a 'B' team and any
'B' team player who plays more than 2 games in an 'A' team will, with
immediate effect, have his registration changed to an 'A' team player.
In exceptional circumstances, the above
conditions, concerning 'A' and 'B' team registrations, may be waived by the
League's Management Committee.
For all Under 11, Under 12
and Under 13 League and Cup Competitions
2 runs and any runs scored will be counted for no balls
and wides with no extra ball being bowled. This will apply for all
overs, apart from the scheduled final over of an innings, when extra balls
will be bowled, with the same allowance of 2 runs being counted, along with
any runs scored from no balls and wides.
For the Genese Cup
In the event of a match being abandoned, no points will be awarded to either side and the match
will not count towards the number of matches played by either side in the
competition. In the event of a club failing to fulfill a
fixture or being unable to field a team, no points
will be awarded to that club and the fixture will count against them as a
match played. Their opponents will also not be awarded any points
from the fixture, but it will not count towards the number of matches
played by them in the competition.
The competition will be decided on an average points
basis, where the total number of points gained by each team will be divided
by the number of matches played. If 2 or
more teams finish level on average points
at the completion of the competition, then the teams will be deemed to have
'dead heated' and they will share the finishing position.
A complete listing of rules for each league and cup
competition can be found in the Competition Rules section
Representative sought for KCB Youth
committee post
A second representative is required by the League to
join Peter Wooderson on the Youth Leagues' Sub Committee of the KCB Youth
Committee. Ideally, the candidate should represent the clubs in the
South East area of the North Kent Junior League.
