Fixtures & Results Secretary</div> <div>                      Graham Freedman - Registrations Secretary</div> <div>                      Kevin Groom</div> <bR> <div> John Monk welcomed Kevin Groom to the Committee.  Kevin has replaced Martin Thomas.</div> <bR> <div> <B>Open Day</B></div> <div> A Six-a-Side soft ball competition for under 12s was agreed.  The venue will be the County ground at Beckenham on Wednesday 27th August from 10am to 6pm.</div> <bR> <div> John Monk to set out the Competition rules and purchase 8 Incredi balls.</div> <bR> <div> Peter Wooderson to contact Stuart Whitehead re pitch requirements and catering arrangements.</div> <bR> <div> Peter also to purchase a shield for the competition winner.  Medals will be given to the winners and runners up at the presentation evening.</div> <bR> <div> Sets of  Kwik Cricket stumps to be provided by John Monk (2), Mike Donnelly (1) and Peter Wooderson (1).  Kevin Groom to supply score sheets.</div> <bR> <div> 14 Clubs had, so far, confirmed their involvement.</div> <bR> <div> Mike Donnelly to write to all Clubs confirming details of the competition.</div> <bR> <div> <B>Presentations</B></div> <div> These were confirmed as follows:</div> <bR> <div> <B>U11, U12, U13</B></div> <div>      Leagues and Cups – Friday 12th September 2003.</div> <bR> <div> <B>U14, U15, U16</B></div> <div>      Leagues and Cups – Friday 19th September 2003 </div> <bR> <div> Both at Bexley Park Sports Club – 7.30pm.</div> <bR> <div> Mike Donnelly to inform Clubs as soon as all competitions are finalised.</div> <bR> <div> <B>General Meetings</B></div> <div> Mike Donnelly suggested that the October meeting agenda should include Committee recommendations on several of the playing conditions which had proved to be contentious during the season.  For example:</div> <bR> <div> <IMG BORDER="0" SRC="Symb075c00b700f000000000.gif" HEIGHT="16" WIDTH="24" ALIGN="bottom" HSPACE="0" VSPACE="0">Transfers</div> <div> <IMG BORDER="0" SRC="Symb075c00b700f000000000.gif" HEIGHT="16" WIDTH="24" ALIGN="bottom" HSPACE="0" VSPACE="0">Under-age players</div> <div> <IMG BORDER="0" SRC="Symb075c00b700f000000000.gif" HEIGHT="16" WIDTH="24" ALIGN="bottom" HSPACE="0" VSPACE="0">Restriction of movement between A and B teams</div> <div> <IMG BORDER="0" SRC="Symb075c00b700f000000000.gif" HEIGHT="16" WIDTH="24" ALIGN="bottom" HSPACE="0" VSPACE="0">Wides and No-Balls ruling</div> <div> <IMG BORDER="0" SRC="Symb075c00b700f000000000.gif" HEIGHT="16" WIDTH="24" ALIGN="bottom" HSPACE="0" VSPACE="0">Start times</div> <bR> <div> It was agreed that the Committee would discuss these issues prior to the October meeting and proposals for discussion at the meeting prior to a proper vote at the AGM in February.</div> <bR> <div> Mike Donnelly to obtain dates for a Tuesday meeting in October from Stuart Whitehead at the County Ground, Beckenham.</div> <bR> <div> <B>Finances</B></div> <div> Peter Wooderson reported that the current balance was £3641.09.</div> <bR> <div> OD Cuaco still owe £85, Peter Wooderson to chase.</div> <bR> <div> The purchase of a new trophy for the U11 League Division 2 was agreed.  Also a die which would enable the NKJL logo to be included on the medals – one-off cost £40.</div> <bR> <div> Steve to send Peter Wooderson the coloured logo design.  “Awards for All” balls and helmets all paid for.</div> <bR> <div> No invoice yet from the ACU & S Association for the Umpires/Scorers talks.</div> <bR> <div> Peter Wooderson reported on the Umpires and Scorers Talks held on 30th April and 14th May 2003.  These proved to be very successful with over 40 people attending.</div> <bR> <div> Mike Donnelly advised that four Clubs had not yet collected their balls/helmets -</div> <bR> <div> <IMG BORDER="0" SRC="Symb075c00b700f000000000.gif" HEIGHT="16" WIDTH="24" ALIGN="bottom" HSPACE="0" VSPACE="0">Granby</div> <div> <IMG BORDER="0" SRC="Symb075c00b700f000000000.gif" HEIGHT="16" WIDTH="24" ALIGN="bottom" HSPACE="0" VSPACE="0">Catford Wanderers</div> <div> <IMG BORDER="0" SRC="Symb075c00b700f000000000.gif" HEIGHT="16" WIDTH="24" ALIGN="bottom" HSPACE="0" VSPACE="0">The Mote</div> <div> <IMG BORDER="0" SRC="Symb075c00b700f000000000.gif" HEIGHT="16" WIDTH="24" ALIGN="bottom" HSPACE="0" VSPACE="0">Holmesdale</div> <bR> <div> <B>Gravesend v Old Colfeians – 13</B><B>th</B><B> July 2003</B></div> <div> Mike Donnelly read out reports from both parties regarding the above match which had been abandoned.</div> <bR> <div> Having heard the details, the Committee were of the firm opinion that the problems which occurred could have been avoided if the umpiring and management on both sides had been stronger.</div> <bR> <div> Mike Donnelly to draft letter.</div> <bR> <div> <B>Date of Next Meeting</B></div> <div> Tuesday 23rd September 2003 at Bexley Park, 8pm.</div> </td> </tr></table></body>
