Matters Arising
Gravesend v. Old Colfeians
The letter sent to both Clubs had brought a swift response from Old Colfeians who had banned Jack Merrell for the rest of the season. There had been no response from Gravesend.
Playing Conditions
It was agreed that proposals from the Committee to alter certain playing conditions would be presented to the member clubs at the AGM on 21st October 2003. These were:
Transfers: These to be allowed before 31st May with the agreement in writing of the club from which the player is leaving. One transfer per season only.
Restriction of movement between A and B teams: To remain as at present but with the overrider that the Committee has the right to allow such movements in exceptional circumstances.
Wides and No-Balls: In U11, U12 and U13 competitions, wides and no-balls to count as 2 runs plus the runs scored with no extra ball being bowled. Apart from the last scheduled over, when extra balls will be bowled and 2 runs plus the runs scored will also apply.
Mike Donnelly to send an Agenda to the clubs for the meeting on 21st October, which will include the proposals to be voted on at the AGM.
Discipline of Players
Clubs to be reminded at the AGM, that the Team Managers are responsible for the behaviour of their players, and that they must ensure that this is within the spirit of the game, both on and off the field.
Registrations
Graham Freedman presented a new registration form to the meeting. This was approved and he will introduce this format to the clubs at the AGM.
Finance
The current balance is £2722.
Bromley Common and Hayes owe £10 each for Cup Competitions.
Old Wilsonians owe £17.50.
The trophy bill for approximately £1000, has yet to be received. Similarly, the invoice for the Umpires Courses (£230).
Steve Nash to send his expenses to Peter Wooderson.
Awards for All
It looks as if there will be a balance left over from the events covered by the Award. Mike Donnelly will discuss with 'Awards for All' with a view to using the balance for balls next season. Peter Wooderson to give Mike the exact details of expenditures.
Fines
List given to Peter Wooderson. To be applied after 1st October.
Gallions, Cobham, Erith
They are still officially League Members. Mike Donnelly to send notice of AGM to them.
New Applications
Southfleet have applied to join the U11 League. The Committee considered them to be a suitable club. Mike Donnelly to invite their representative, Mike Morgan, to the AGM when the clubs will vote on the application.
Over Age Players
Steve Nash reported that Bickley Park had played three players registered in the Under 16 age group in their Under 15 team.
Steve Nash to write to Bickley Park warning that should this occur again, points would be deducted and stronger action taken.
Presentation Evenings
Whilst the Bexley Park evenings were very successful, it was considered that we should 'ring the changes' and clubs will be asked if they are prepared to host the events at the AGM.
Missing Trophy
At some juncture, the Junior Cup has been inadvertently swapped with the AKCC U13 Cup. Peter Wooderson is hot on the trail and will investigate further!
District Matches
Jamie Clifford has provided dates which clash with League Fixtures on four occasions. To assist we will again leave Sunday 30th May blank next season.
Next Meeting
League AGM on Tuesday 21st October at 7.30pm at Kent CC Ground, Worsley Bridge Road, Beckenham.
