Minutes of Last Meeting:
The minutes of the AGM held on the 21st October 2003 were approved as a true record of the meeting.
Matters Arising:
The amendments to the Playing Conditions agreed at the AGM have been included on the website.
Applications to join the League:
Horton Kirby - Unanimously Approved
BOCA Sports - Unanimously Approved
Trevor Forte advised that BOCA's games would be played at the KCCC Ground at Beckenham.
St Lawrence and Highland Court - Application to take part in the Genese Cup accepted on the following conditions:
It applies to the Genese Cup only
Teams drawn to play at Canterbury have the option to play the game at Home
St Lawrence have accepted these conditions. Kevin Groom advised that whilst he had no objection to their application they were officially outside the laid down zone and he was concerned that the League were setting a dangerous precedent.
The Chairman assured him that all applications would be treated strictly on their merits. Their entry into the Genese Cup was approved on a majority basis.
Fixtures:
Steve Nash explained the rationale behind the League structure this year. He had managed to accommodate all of the changes that had been requested.
In view of the differing school holiday dates it was agreed that the Genese Cup would be played on consecutive days this year-26th-30th June inclusive.
Steve reminded clubs that the closing date for the Portman and MCC Cup Competitions was 1st March. Applications should be sent to him.
A full set of fixtures was issued to each club.
Registration:
Graham Freedman issued a paper to the clubs setting out the registration requirements this year.
He stressed the importance of one individual in the club being appointed to deal with the registrations and that these must be applied for at least a week before the first game.
Graham clarified the new transfer and A and B team rulings and confirmed that players need to be registered once only.
Finance:
Peter Wooderson presented the annual accounts which showed a positive balance at the end of the year of £521.
We had written off fines due from Gallions for £50. There were still two fines outstanding for current clubs.
Umpires/Scorers Courses:
Peter reported that with the remainder of the "Awards for All" money we would again be running two courses. Provisional Dates and venues are 7th April at Welling and 14th April at Beckenham. Exact details will be confirmed by Peter in the near future.
Presentation Evenings:
The first presentation will be held at Belvedere on Friday 10th September 2004. The second at HSBC on Friday 17th September 2004.
Contacts List:
Mike Donnelly advised that he would be issuing a new Contracts List by the end of March. He appealed to clubs to let him have all amendments by the middle of March.
The meeting closed at 8.45pm.
