Installing & using the Windows Media Player 
Freeware Midi Karaoke plugin.

Run the self extracting file you downloaded & use windows explorer to browse C:\MPLAYKAR directory.
Right click on the file called "KARAOKE.INF" & select install from the menu.

Your plugin is now installed & ready for use.

Browse to your windows directory.
Find & run the file called MPLAYER.EXE. (you may find it convenient to create a shortcut to this program on your desktop. To do this RIGHT click on the program & select "Send to"> "Desktop (create shortcut)) 

NOTE:  This plugin will not work with MPLAYER2.EXE (the latest version of "Windows Media Player" )

Start "Windows Media Player" 

Select Karaoke from the Device menu & simply open the required file. the lyrics will now be displayed on the screen along with the music. If you have no sound then check your volume controls & make sure that your Midi devices are working. To change the screen size you will need to edit the "KARAOKE.INI" file located in the Windows directory.

Here are a few sample kar files to get you started.

WARNING These files should have a .kar extension. newer versions of windows may rename them to .mid whilst downloading. Simply rename them back to .kar after downloading.
