There is a report of the Wigan game on "The Times" webpage today. Lets hope our luck has changed as we are currently winning at Torquay and have actually scored twice so far!

So. we've signed John Frain, does this mean the end of Michael Warner of Ali's hopes of starting against Wigan

The Cobblers apparently had trouble paying the players last week's wages. The financial problems run deeper than the Chron & Ech ever reports. Little wonder John Gayle cried off with a bad back and Dave Martin nearly smashed the players' entrance doors after being told he was dropped 45 minutes before the Lincoln game. Mansfield was the worst performance all season. Atkins must surely go after his comments in last night's Chron.

I love the Cobblers. Christian Lee is a total babe! He is my hero.

Hi all Cobblers fans!
I´m actually a Swedish Stoke City supporter, but I follow Northampton
too. I really hope the Cobblers will get promoted this time around.
Good luck to both the team and all you supporters of NTFC!

You know, Sixfields is a great ground and all that (compared to the County Ground) but don't you think its a bit faceless? Most grounds have got the team name and colours displayed somewhere, but not Sixfields. In fact, I think I'm going to start a campaign to have a huge hoarding with 'Northampton Town FC' on it put on the West Stand. It would only cost a couple of grand. 'Lotto' could pay for it. Having said that, I haven't been to Sixfields since Christmas, so maybe its already been done. By the way, David Kerr is one of the brokers that we use here at work so if you have any messages for the NTFC directors then I'll gladly pass them on.

It's great to get some news from the cobblers. I am currently based in Jakarta, Indonesia. It's so long since i was back in the Uk they were still building the new ground then. If you can scan any pics of the ground I would be grateful. Great work keep it up.

Dave Gilbert certainly was at West Brom last year - see http://www.charlton-athletic.co.uk/1996-97/2wbah.html.
Did Bobby Barnes go to Hong Kong?
Ray at 22:49:39 Sunday March 16 97
Gayle was injured yesterday, along with Grayson and Gibb. The list is probably even longer now!
Ian Platt at 15:48:9 Sunday March 16 97
Thanks for the Hereford report, we so rarely win there it is worth recording. Dave Gilbert played for years at Grimsby, almost always in a higher division than us. I have a feeling he moved on recently to somewhere like WBA.
Richard Hill is an assistant at one of our neighbours, again I can't recall for sure where. Maybe Reading or Wycombe?
Ian Platt at 15:43:18 Sunday March 16 97
Where was Gayle yesterday? Seems strange for the directors to personally fork out for someone and he isn't even in the subs.
Ray at 1:36:26 Saturday March 15 97
Ian: Report now posted! Peter: Dunno, dunno and er....dunno....sorry!
Peter Pharoah at 16:25:1 Friday March 14 97

Ian Platt at 12:32:56 Friday March 14 97
Hey those of you who were at Hereford, how about a report so that we can read about a win?

Good to see a decent Cobblers page on the Web. I've been following
the Cobbler's results since I saw their photo in Roy of the Rovers(!)
after winning the Fourth Division championship in the eighties.
I don't know why I took a fancy to them (I live in Dundee and
Aberdeen and am an ardent follower of Dundee FC (NOT Dundee Utd!!),
but I did. I was at the County Ground in 94, when I was down that
way for the British Grand Prix. I may also be the only person in
Scotland to own a Northampton Town strip! Thanks to the excellent page
I can spruce up my gen on the NTFC lads! Seeya!

I'm studying in Coventry for the next three years. Are there any
Cobblers supporters around this place who would be interested in
sharing trips to mecca, er. Sixfields anyway. I can't take much
more of watching the bloody Sky Blues. e-mail:
