How Lip-reading classes can help you!
By joining a Lip-reading Class you can:
Build up your lip-reading skills Learn to recognise some speech movements Anticipate what's coming next Know how to make the best use of environmental conditions
About the tutors
Margaret, Chris and Jackie all have the 'Manchester Metropolitan University Certificate of Higher Education Teaching Speech-reading to Adults' qualification, plus a number of other related qualification. They also have a hearing loss themselves, enabling them to teach with empathy and understanding of what it is like not to be able to hear. They are able to draw upon their own experiences to both teach and encourage good communication skills within the classes.
