Built
in 17th Century by Richard Baker, the founder of the Orsett Estate.
King George VI planted the oak tree (which is now in the garden
of a house built in the grounds) to mark his visit to the Essex
Show in 1948.
The
Building is now a prestigious hotel and restaurant
