Orsett Hall

Built in 17th Century by Richard Baker, the founder of the Orsett Estate. King George VI planted the oak tree (which is now in the garden of a house built in the grounds) to mark his visit to the Essex Show in 1948.

The Building is now a prestigious hotel and restaurant
