Welcome to my Vintage Radio website, I hope you will find something of interest here. It is dedicated to early British radio broadcasting technology from it's beginning in the 1920's right up to the transistor age. It is a purely amateur project, with no underlying commercial motives. I hope it will give some practical help to beginners just starting out, as well as providing some information and light entertainment for the regular enthusiast.
Well, good news the British Vintage Wireless Society has finally gone on-line! Their website is at www.bvws.org.uk It includes details on membership, vintage radio events and an index to recent BVWS bulletins.
Another important announcement! In collaboration with Paul Stenning (Author of the recent ETI series of valve radio repair and restoration) we are compiling a CD of Vintage Radio Service Data, this covers models from the 1930's through to the 1960's. For more information on the cost and how to reserve your copy of this important new CD please visit
