Info/Man Graphs

Information/Management uses GDDM (Graphic Data Display Manager) to display output graphically. If you want to swiftly distribute statistics from your Info/Man database then you could consider converting your GDDM output into GIFs and making them accessible to all on your internal intranet - or worldwide on the Internet.

GDDM V3R3 supplies easy ADMGDF to GIF conversion. This graphic was produced today during my EA79 reports course. I converted it to GIF format, downloaded it to a diskette which I brought home and uploaded to this web site.

You too can produce a report like this. You do not need any previous report writing experience, or have to know PMF. If you attend my RFT class you will produce a RFT like this one. It shows the number of problems raised on different days of the week over the past 3 years, categorised by priority, as a tower chart.

This graph shows three charts on one screen. Surprisingly impressive charts are quite easy to produce!

I used Info/Man 4.2 Integration Facility Red Book written by Chris Shaw which showed me how to save graphs as ADMGDF files, and was unstintingly and enthusiastically guided by Dougie Lawson of IBM Enterprise Assist in converting the ADMGDF files to GIFs.
