Dolphins Take 3rd Place in consecutive weeks
Pocklington Dolphins travelled to Driffield recently to compete in a Friendly League gala against the home team, New Earswick, Bridlington, South Hunsley and Scarborough.
There was plenty of Personal Bests achieved, firstly from the boys, William Nicholson, Peter Smith, Sam Clark, Jake Eade, Gavin Thomson, Daniel Cleaver, Jack Bowes, Aaron Young, Ben Coulson, Andy Redmore, Josh Britton and Chris Chadwick.
The girls also achieved their fare share of Personal Bests from Katrina Stanton, Olivia Gill, Amelia Warren, Emily Stephenson, Abigail Coulson, Lauren Gill, Mollie Smith, Heather Briggs, Beth Edwards, Lily Woodward, Lucy Bowes and Heather Curnow.
Dolphins finished in 3rd place with 132 points and no disqualifications.
The following week it was the turn of Bridlington to host a Friendly gala with South Holderness, Scarborough and Whitby competing against the Dolphins.
Again there were plenty of personal bests from Peter Smith, Sam Clark, Huw Jones, Ben Potter, Gavin Thomson, Adam Falkingham, Andy Redmore, Ryan Rudd, Ben Coulson, William Nicholson, Daniel Houseman and Aaran Young.
The girls also achieved several personal bests from Katie Hopwood, Katrina Stanton, Fran Lyon, Bethany Warren, Megan Briggs, Aimee Millett, Lily Woodward, Heather Briggs, Mollie Smith, Amelia Warren, Megan Worrall, Beth Edwards and Abigail Coulson.
Once again Dolphins came 3rd with 115.5 points and again no disqualifications. Well done to all those who competed in the galas, some of which were swimming in their first gala.
