25th August Drazen Erdemovic, the court's star witness with regard to the massacre at Srebrenica. As a member of the 10th Sabotage Division of the Army of the Serb Republic (VRS) he personally took part in the massacre of c1,200 men after the fall of Srebrenica. Wilcoxson gives an extract from Milosevic's opening statement arguing that the 10th Sabotage Division was engaged in a rogue operation and had not been acting under the orders of the VRS.

26th August Colm Doyle, head of the European monitoring mission in Sarajevo and chairman of the EC conference on Yugoslavia.. Includes testimony on procedure by which the Bosnian parliament decided on secession. Beginning of cross-examination by Milosevic.

27th August Cross examination of Colm Doyle contd. Stepan Kraljevic, municipal official from Iloc, Croatia, near Vukovar, giving evidence that Croats in Ilok had been expelled by the JNA. "C-1175" on crimes of Serbian T.O. (Territorial Defence) in Dalj, Croatia.

28th August Conclusion of cross examination of "C-1175"."C-1071", woman evacuated by the JNA from Vukovar. Anna Bitunic, Croat woman whose husband was shot. Luka Shutalo, Croat man mistreated by JNA in a prison in Dalj. Josip Jocipovic, member of Croat militia, the ZNG.

29th August "B-1054", Muslim woman describing burning of house full of Muslims in Visegrad. Milosevic's cross examination of Josip Jocipovic. "B-1505" on JNA attempt to cleanse Visegrad of its Muslim population.

1st September Dr Ivan Kristan, constitutional law expert arguing that the constitutional changes in the relations between Serbia and Kosovo in 1989/90 were themselves unconstitutional. See CIJ Report.

2nd September Completion of testimony of "B-1505" on Visegrad. Closed session then discussion of arrangements for Milosevic's defence.

3rd September Mustan Kustanovic, Muslim businessman on persecution of Muslims in Bijeljina (in Bosnia, presently in Serb Republic).

4th September Discussion of problems posed by Mr Milosevic's health.

9th September "B-1058"testifying that her husband and two sons had been killed by Serb paramilitaries in Zvornik, Eastern Bosnia. "B-1610", Muslim member of the T.O.. Mustafa Ramic, Mayor of Brcko when war broke out and member of the Muslim SDA.

10th September Probably continuation of cross-examination of Mustafa Ramic.

11th September

12th September Robert J. Donia, Centre for Russian and East European Studies at the University of Michigan, author of a report written for the trial - The Assembly of Republika Srpska, 1992-95: Highlights and Excerpts - giving transcripts which go to show the extent of Milosevic's influence on Bosnian Serb politics and military strategy and that both Milosevic and the Bosnian Serbs were aiming at a Greater Serbia. Substantial extracts are given in the CIJ accounts for 12th, 13th and 14th September.

15th September "B0179" testifying that the Serb charitable organisation Matika played an important role in gun-running to Serbs in Bosnia and Croatia. Baron Arnot Van Linden, reporter for Sky News, largely on siege of Sarajevo and on interviews withMladic, Milosevic, Karadzic, Captain Dragan.

16th September Van Linden continued.

17th September

18th September David Harland, former UN Civil and Political officer for Sarajevo, 1993-9, largely on relations between Milosevic and Bosnian Serb leadership. Asserts that 'no final determination was ever definitively made' on whether he Serbs or Muslims were responsible for the Markale marketplace shelling in Sarajevo, 5th February and that there is no direct evidence connecting Milosevic to the Srebrenica massacre. 30th September Discussion of problems posed by Milosevic's illness, with review of previous efforts to impose legal assistance.
