Guto Nyth Brān

Guto Nyth Brān lived on a farm called Nyth Brān, and people called him Guto Nyth Brān but his name was Guto Morgan.
One day Guto's mother asked Guto to fetch bread from Aberdare, so he ran there and back before the kettle boiled. When he came back his father told him to herd the sheep, but there was one sheep that was faster than him, he ran after it and caught it.When he got back he showed the sheep to his Dad, but it wasn't a sheep it was hare.
Guto was going to race to the fastest person in England , he was Prince. They raced from Newport to Bedwas. Guto kept stopping to talk to the crowd, then Prince passed him. Guto ran like a hare and won the race. His friend Siān the shop - his best friend patted him on the back, suddenly he went white and fell to the floor, he was dead.
We visited the Llanwonno church where Guto is buried. Jonathan ,Kristie and I did a rubbing of his grave, Kristie and I didn't like stepping over graves. The earliest one that was found was 1620. I also saw a baby's grave - it was tiny.
