Chakra means "wheel" in Hindi. The name is described as such as the designers felt that some of the motifs look like the catherine wheel firework. The carpet is made of Indian hand spun wool. The ends are finished with a short kelim incorporating the colours of the Indian flag and tea dyed. The rug is given a light wash and air dried in the Indian sun.
As a guide to the price of this carpet: a runner 245cm in length by 75cm in width (8 ft by 2 ft 6 inches) would cost £200
