Another short break with friends (don’t go for much longer with friends, your liver will die!) another lovely spot for a city break (go in the week to avoid the English stag parties that take over Dublin on weekends) and if you can tear yourselves away from the city the surrounding countryside is beautiful.

At last, a spiritual home :-) Please buy me this pub! The sign on the wall says it all... Out in the sticks at Lynham’s Public House in Laragh, Wicklow mountains. Good food with CHIPS! The Brazen Head, the oldest pub in Dublin, if not Europe. DRINK! Do you recognise the postcard then Nick? The Stag’s Head. Proper old pub, wood panelling, farty old atmosphere (blame Justin) and DRINK! O’Neill’s. For a spot of lunch and DRINK! (Excellent butties). That would be an ecumenical matter! Chris tries his sauve and cunning look. What he manages is to look constipated (too much Guinness sippin’) ...because we can’t find the Stag’s Head, that’s why! Justin and Chris savour a nice air-biscuit in Keogh’s. Sacrilege! The Scot discovers Irish whiskey is better than Scotch! Empty glass! More DRINK! Chris thinking of NUNS!. Ain’t drink BRILLIANT! Anyone for more DRINK!? BRIGHT LIGHTS! A rare moment between drinking establishments. Suzie fails to notice the glass has gone. So where is my next drink ? Another pub, another Guinness.
