Extracts of all the GODSLAND entries
(including the variants GOSLAND & GOSSLAND) from various vital records indexes, censuses, and probate indexes have
been made since the One-Name Study was started in 1991. These have now
been made available on the Guild Electronic Archive on the Guild of One-Name
Studies website, where you may search by forename (including wild
cards), surname variants, time period and/or registration district and other parameters. General Register Office for England & Wales (GRO) - search by clicking on one of the links
below: General Register Office for Scotland (GROS) - search by clicking on one of the links
below: The Civil Probate indexes to Wills and Letters of Administration
for England & Wales (held at First Avenue
House) have also been similarly extracted for the period from 1858 to
the present date. Click on the link below to search the index. Transcriptions of the Census returns for England & Wales for the
period 1841-1911 have been made for all Counties which have Godsland
(or variant) entries. Click on the link below to search the index. Transcriptions from many newspapers of entries where a Godsland (or variant) is mentioned or featured have
