PAUL GILLETT

Paul is acting chair of City Synergy having been secretary since the group started in 2002. He is employed as a NHS management accountant and has recently achieved a diploma in management studies degree at Brighton University.

Paul has a reputation as a prolific sender of e-mails, and has designed this website.

Paul is registered partially sighted with a condition called
Nystagmus (aka "Wobbly eyes"). He is a keen sports fan and also enjoys music his favourite artists including Dire Straits, KT Tunstall, Steeleye Span, Eric Clapton, Annie Lennox and Lemar

CHRIS DUTTON

Chris is registered blind, having an hereditary atrophy of the optic nerve.
The eyes are fine, the brain is good, the nerves linking the two are out to lunch. Chris has some residual vision and she is happy to support/guide anyone with less vision and is a volunteer with a walking group

Chris enjoys many kinds of music and performance, and socialising (with a discerning taste in wines and ciders) and sporting activities (incl Archery) "as long as they don't involve moving".

Chris is Treasurer of City Synergy.

JONATHAN DUTTON

Jonathan is a volunteer with City Synergy, married to Chris. Jonathan works in finance for the NHS.

Jonathan shares most of Chris's passions, although he is resentful of her houseplants (what's the point of a plant you can't eat?).

Jonathan is interested in many sporting activities with the exception of those involving getting wet or wobbling about on two wheels.

MICK ETHERIDGE

Picture of Mick Etheridge

Mick was Chair of City Synergy from its start until May 2006 and is now focussing on developing Goalball and other activities for younger people, He has a community sports leadership qualification and organises and coaches Goalball sessions around the county, Mick recently passed an Open University course in Social sciences but is currently seeking employment.

Mick makes no pretenses to be good with computers, in his words "I dont get on with computers and they dont get in with me

Amongst the things Mick is renowned for are his jokes including shabby dog stories which go on and on and on and............

Mick is registered blind with an hereditary retinitus pigmentosa

JUSTINE FALLIS

Justine is in her thirties and has been totally blind since birth.
Justine works part-time in the field of developing support services for disabled people, and is currently in the process of setting up her own business providing Disability Awareness Training. among her interests Justine lists: “reading novels, disability rights issues, music of all kinds, watching Big Brother (I'm ashamed to say) and socialising with friends.”

ALISON EVANS

Alison is the Client Services Manager for Blatchington Court Trust having worked for the Trust since its launch in 1995. Alison is totally blind and has a Guide Dog named Austin, she lost her sight at the age of 13 as a result of Glaucoma amongst other things,

Alison's hobbies include the theatre, concerts, meals out, Yoga, walking and socialising.
