About us
Philip Heaton
started his career in furniture making in 1981, completing a three-year apprenticeship
alongside distinctions achieved at Brunel Technical College in Bristol, and the High
Wycombe College of Furniture.
In need of more responsibility within the design
and manufacture of furniture, he set up his own workshop in 1989, gradually developing a
loyal client base in the south of England. The number of cabinet makers has grown over the
years to a total of six at present. |
|
In 1998 the workshop moved from its humble first
premises on a farm outside Bristol, to Hambrook, a village four miles north of the city.
Here there is space to expand , and also accommodate larger commissions. Machinery has
been upgraded and facilities improved, not just for the furniture makers but also for
visitors. There is a design studio clients are welcome to visit where samples of wood,
mouldings, veneers etc. can be seen.
Dedicated to achieving the highest standards,
Philip Heaton Furniture is the logical step for people with the imagination to walk off
the High Street and into the realm of innovative design.
